More Winnie & Tulula's

Here's the second post of the Christmas Open House at Winnie and Tulula's.  Great things could be seen all in the store.  As you walked in the front door, Peg and John have their booth set up through December to your right.  I just loved this dreamy awning that Peg made, isn't she the cleaver one, I'm sure John helped too:

The pillows are the line that Gloria carries.  Loved the mirror that Margo created with the words.

Here's another booth of Gloria's, which have my favorite set of chairs.

This is Ethel's booth, all pretty in White.

Charisse's booth was looking pretty festive too.

Liz and Fran always have such cleaver ideas.  One of these talented girls redid the mannequin in lace.

This chippy pink cabinet in Liz's booth almost had a sold sign on it, IF I could have found a place to put it in my home.

Here's Deb and Cat Daddy's booth, looking all pretty and ready for the holidays.

One the front windows displays Peg's things and

the other one showcases Lillie's things.

Now aren't you sad you missed the Open House.  You can still check it out Wednesday thru Saturday in downtown Athens Tx  Maybe they left you some eggnog, if not check their frig!

White Christmas Window Display

A good crowd showed up for The Winnie and Tulula's Open House and fun seemed to be had by all.  The store was decorated so pretty with Christmas Decorations and each theme was unique to each vendor. We had a great time visiting and seeing all that there was.  If you didn't get to make it out this weekend, please stop by and check out all the shop has to offer.

Here's what could be seen at the window display this past weekend.  I was really proud of how the window display turned out:

A slip covered chair using an old night shirt and vintage millinary flowers.

This bird cage was a recent find.

Vintage birds add the special touch to this rosepoint cup and brown transferware plate.

A child's scooter could still be used to ride.  It has the original wheels and the patina could not be replicated.

The slip covered suitcase is an original design.  A lot of work went into making this.

Wicker settee and the pillows are covered with old slips ~ slip covered of course with a festive look.

White mirrors with tallow berries and greenery make this side of the window display.

The shadow made such a dreamy appearance on the white radio cabinet, mirror and planter.

 White trees on pedastols.

These candleabras could be dressed up or down in your decor.

I had been searching for a gate leg table for awhile.  The sides can be put down and used in unique ways in a small space.

A wide view of the window.

More of the window from the outside.

Hope you enjoyed the tour of the window display.  Check back tomorrow for more of what caught my eye at Winnie & Tulula's.

Oh Happy Day

The title reminds me of a old church song we used to sing when I was little, but today is Thanksgiving and there's so much to be thankful for and yes it is a Happy Day.  I hope you've had a great day spending time with your family as I have.  Did you eat too much, prepare only the best, are you just about exhausting from all the cooking, well please take time to rest and enjoy all your loved one.  I'm finally able to take a breather, but I'd do it all over again.

Just a quick reminder to check out the reindeer, elves, and Santa's over at Winnie and Tulula's and so hope I will see you there tomorrow.  We'll have a blast!!

You just never know what you'll find there or who'll be dressed and waiting to help you with your Christmas List.  Heck you might even find Santa there, at least his elves are ready.

Ann's Shop

Yesterday was a long day decorating at Winnie and Tulula's for Christmas, but I finally finished it all.  I really liked how it turned out, but you'll have to wait until Friday for pictures.  Please join us if you can on Friday at 4pm for our Remembrance of Christmas Open House.

Now, since it was so late yesterday when I got home I didn't get to finish showing you the last of Ann's shop pictures.  So here are the pics of her Open House:

Don't you just love these angel wings, Sandra makes them and sells them at The Tin Rabbit.

Let's continue on with more of Ann's shop, click here to see so much more.

I so hope you enjoyed visiting Ann's Home and Shop.  Now see what you missed.  Remember, the next time you see she's having an Open House, don't miss it.  Plan early to go.  Later I will have some wonderful news to share with you about Sandra, so please keep watching.

Who Inspires You?

Who inspires you these days.  With magazines closing up shop and those that are on the newsstand, there are few far and between that catch my eye with inspiring things.  That's why I love blogs and going to shops and even seasonal Open Houses because I normally will find something that's inspirational.  I guess it's because I'm such a visual person that it takes a lot to wow me these days.  When I left Ann's Open House yesterday, I can tell you I was inspired by all that she does.  There may not be many that know that she recently battled cancer and to see how beautiful she'd decorated her home and shop, well I was inspired by her.  I was so pumped (as I always am when I leave her place) to come back and redo my house.  However, the time factor is not on my side right now.  I'm trying to get ready for the Winnie & Tulula's Christmas Window (no pressure here, right, you betcha) and trying to get ready for my family's Thanksgiving next week, so it's a busy busy time at my place.  But then again, it's always a busy time.

Let's go inside Ann's Home so that you can see for yourself just what wonderful vignette's she creates.  She's super talented and her Mom says she has a knack for putting something together quicker than anyone she knows and I believe it.  Just take a look:

As you walk in her home, her dining room is to the left.  I loved her table settings, so festive.

Here's a sitting area, with such cute things.

Another close up of the table setting.

Don't you love this dreamy setting, white mirrors, lights, trees all on her mantle.

Old mirrors are always a favorite of mine, can't seem to get enough.

To the right is her living room.  I just loved the old doors as a back drop to her couch area.

Sandra's beautiful creations, pillows and more pillows.

I've always admired this big architectural piece.

Arch windows are so hard to find.  I'm sure she's not going to part with this one for a while.

More white mirrors, pillows, and white column make the setting.

She's ready for Christmas, so pretty.

This is her front porch area.

Here she is with her beautiful Mom.  You can see hints of her kitchen area.

Check back soon for the rest of her home.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Ann Perry's Open House

Today was Ann's Open House and if you were unable to make it (especially if you live in Texas) all I can say is YOU MISSED IT!!  Seriously, Ann and Sandra are super super talented.  Their displays were so uniquely theirs and Sandra's linens, pillows, bed coverlets, shower curtains, and mirrors were things that only she can create.  I have lots and lots of pictures and it will take many posts to get to them all, so here's a teaser preview of Ann's shop and home.

Here are things you could find in her shop:

These are Sandra's Original Designs, ruffled slipcovers and pillows.

Ann's Shop porch, loved the cross.

A cute Christmas vignette with vintage white dress.

These are pictures of Ann's Home:

 Loved this dress form.

This is an Ann Perry Original Design, frame with all sorts of things added to it.

Be sure and check back for more pictures, I'll take you through each room of her home and shop.
