Let's Go Shopping

I wanted to first send out a reminder that we will be setting up at the Montgomery Texas Antique Show this weekend, May 1-2, and the show is located in downtown Montgomery Texas.  I'm pretty excited about setting up here as I haven't been to this show in several years. I have heard there are some really great vendors that will be here, but many are also new to me, so you'll have to check back to see who all was there.  I know that you can find Angie of The Garrett House Antiques and she has Victorian and cottage antiques and dolls and while you are in Montgomery, be sure and stop by one of her stores. We went searching yesterday for new things for this show and I found lots of great items. We'll have a mixture of cottage items, garden furniture, and with lots of vintage white things mixed in.  The show hours are Saturday, May 1st, from 10:00 to 6:00pm and on Sunday, May 2nd, from 10:00 to 4:00pm and there is a $5.00 admission fee, which is good for both days.  To find out more about this show, click here

Yesterday, the open road took us to the Canton Texas Flea Market.  There were many vendors that were set up on the grounds, so it looks like it's going to be a good month if you are considering heading that way. The weather was pretty and the shopping was good. Here are a few displays you might see there, if they haven't already sold:

This is Carolyn Westbrook's booth, she's in Arbor III. Her friend Rebecca of Heaven to Earth is also there. Both girls are super talented and you'll be awed just how beautiful their things are. I must tell you though I'll never look at another twig or root the same way again. You'll just have to see what I mean for yourself.

Enjoy more of their booth:

Be sure and check out their space if you are in Canton.

Let's move on to go and see Troy and Rod's space and they are also located in the Arbors:

I should have taken a picture before I messed up this display on the table.

Look at the awesome pillows.

And, Troy makes awesome slipcovers.

Next, I had to run over and see Sue's space.  She's in the Paul Michael Building on Row 46, with the Girls Gone Junkin's booth.

Of course, loved this mannequin.

Another cute view of her space.

Be sure and tell Sue that I sent you her way.

Here's some cute pillows that caught my eye, I don't remember the name of this booth:

From there we headed over to see Jo Harmon at the Hunt County Trade Center.  Sorry I got to talking to Jo, since I hadn't seen her in what seemed forever and I forgot to take pics.  Jo is located in Quinlan Texas, at the Hunt County Trade Center, Hwy. 751, Shop #18 & 19 or call her at 903/456-4129.  I found so many great things from her and she still has plenty more.  If you are looking for white, cottage, garden, or anything that's just wonderful, well Jo has it.

Happy Friday to you all.  Hope to see you in Montgomery this weekend.

The Junk Gypsy's Project on Wheels

You all know the famous JUNk GyPSy'S from the Warrenton Antique Show at Zapp Hall and their famous Prom Party, but did you also know just how multi-talented this family is. They took on the project of decorating Miranda Lambert's saloon on wheels and I got to see their completed project in Warrenton this past Spring Show.

Check it out, Road Side Bars & Pink Guitars ~ isn't it too cute and that's just the outside.

Step right up and order your drink:

Look at the detail they put into it:

Amy and Jolie did not find this couch this way, they totally redid it:

You can check out their blog for more details on it.

All ready for you to come in and have a seat:

It's 5 o'clock somewhere...

Now that song will be playing over and over in your head and you can thank me later :)

See what I mean?

They did a great job.

Click here if you want to see more.

Now let's move inside their tent during this past show:

They never disappoint with their cool vibe inside:

No, I wasn't drunk when I took this pic, darn camera :)

Love the wings:

Every girl wants to feel like an angel, don't you think?

And speaking of angels, here's three more for ya:

Sandra Evertson, Jo Packham, and Rebecca Ersfeld.  Sandra and Rebecca are both in the upcoming issue of Where Women Create along with Elizabeth Maxson, so be sure and check out the issue.

Hope you enjoyed all the Round Top/Warrenton posts. This is the last one of them all. See ya in the Fall if not before!

The Livingston @ Heritage Square

The Livingston in Waco Texas is where Amy treated us to this weekend and it was absolutely gorgeous.  So peaceful and relaxing, I thought for sure this is what Heaven is like.  Our room had a full size kitchen, a cute balcony, and the most luxurious bedroom and bathroom and the real treat was that Amy provided a lot of the items that you see here.  She gave us the grand tour of the place and all the items purchased for it.

Here's the kitchen/living & dining space:

See the chandeliar.  Well my husband knows me too well and how much I absolutely love a pretty chandy.  While he was talking to my son, I was "admiring" it and he tells my son, your mom is trying to figure out if that chandeliar will fit in her suitcase, ha ha.  They did have a clause sitting on the mirrored dresser that if anything came up missing, your credit card would be charged.  Amy, I hope it didn't cost too much, just kidding!  No I didn't take it, but it sure was pretty.

A full size kitchen was included.  I could have stayed here for weeks and never came out.  Yes, it was that relaxing.

Look at this pretty bedroom.  So glamour Hollywood, don't you think.  I loved sleeping in that bed and those linens were so comfortable.  Loved it.  The headboard was pretty too!

What a nice bathroom it was.  They had Bloom & Bee Swanky soap and really good smelling lavendar shampoo and very plush luxurious towels.  No, not like the kind at the other motels where they are so thin you can see through them.  We normally bring our own towels/linens anyways and here you didn't actually mind stepping on the carpet or floor.  Normally, in other places I wear my shoes until it's time for bed.  I highly recommend staying here anytime you are in Waco, I promise you you won't want to leave!

Thank you so much Amy for such a great treat!!

Bloom & Bee Swanky's

This past Friday and Saturday we had the priviledge of being invited to set up at Amy's shop, Bloom & Bee Swanky for her Open House.  We had such a great time.  The weather turned out beautiful, the company was great in the evening at dinner, the customers filled the store, and we just had an overall great time.  Amy's store is so beautiful and ever changing.  It's never the same, is what I heard over and over from the customers.  Many of them come in weekly to see what all has changed.  It's such a peaceful store and with the beautiful displays, it's no wonder they want to come back.

Before I show you Amy's store, I wanted to show you what all I took to set up there, but I must again apologize for the quality of my pictures.  I don't know what has happened to my camera and I guess I'm either going to have to find someone to fix it or buy another one!

This was just ironstone piled all around an old washtub bottom and some tied to the base.  I loved the touches of robins egg blue that peeked through from the eggs.

Here's another view:

One of my husband's bike's:

I know you can't tell by the pics, but these chairs were fabulous:

Another view of them:

Let's go to Amy's shop and see all her pretty things:

Her bedding is just beautiful.

This display was at the front of her store:

Near the display window.

The pretty arbor with lights that you would walk under upon entering the store:

These things were just to your right upon entering:

One of the display windows:

All dressed for Spring.

Amy's signature shirts:

and pretty skirt.

Probably my most favorite display in all the store:

Here's another view:

There's CD & Deb:

Daphne also stopped by to visit as did several other customers.  Thanks to all that came out.  Amy will probably have a Christmas Open House that I'm hoping to be at as well.  You'll love her store.  If you haven't been, you need to make a trip to see it.  Be sure and check back tomorrow to see where we stayed at.  Happy Sunday to you all!!

The Weekend

As you know, we were in Waco this weekend for Amy's Open House and had such a great time.  I can't wait to tell you about and... she surprised us with a wonderful stay in the most awesome place I've ever stayed at, but you'll just have to wait and see not only her beautiful shop but also where we stayed.  I'll post all about it tomorrow.

In the meantime, head on over to Debra's Blog and check out Melonie and Brian of The Seed Box's new cute cottage shop.  It's so fabulous that I want to move in.  What a great job they did constructing it:

Now, I want to take a trip to see it in person.  Debra will be doing several more posts of it, so you'll want to make sure and check out her blog.

Just a reminder that if you are in the Waco Texas area starting on Friday, April 23 that Amy at the Bloom and Bee Swanky Shop will be having her Open House and it will continue until Saturday.  I'm so excited that she has invited me to be a part of this event.

Here's a quick preview of what I'll have there:

White Wednesday at The Texas Rose Show

On to a few more posts to show you of the Round Top/Warrenton Tx Antique Show.  Since it's also Kathleen's White Wednesday, I'll just combine the two.  Let's stop off at Vickie's show, The Texas Rose Show.  She's located right across from the Marburger Antique Show.  Vickie has such a creative eye for displaying items.  She fixes them in such a way that you want to buy the entire display, plants and all:

Another outside view:

See how pretty it looks inside:

This was Susie & Hector's space at this show:

Loved this concrete piece and table:

More cool things:

Be sure and check out Kathleen's blog for all the other blogs that are participating in White Wednesday.  Happy Wednesday to you all.

More Warrenton Highlights

There are only 2 more posts left of the shows after this one.  I thought with this post I'd show more great antique shows that could be found in Round Top/Warrenton.  Now that you've seen so many of my posts you can now get how big the shows are and I didn't even cover a lot of them.  So, if you are considering coming out in the Fall, be sure and give yourself a few days to see it all, but then you may still not even be able to cover all that there is to see here.

This was Renee's booth of A Junk Queen.  She's located in Bar W:

Next, on must stop places to visit is with Jill Suzanne.  She's located at the show, Little House on the Hill show, in the middle of Warrenton.

And, yes she did have the best smelling candles that seem to burn forever.

Finally, let's stop off at Gina's space at Zapp Hall:

Wasn't this just too cute.

Gina just has a way of pilling it all together and making it look great.

I just love how she decorates.  Check back tomorrow for another post of the shows.

Fun Warrenton Pics

I wanted to show you some fun Warrenton pictures of those that stopped in to say hello during the Warrenton Antique Show week.  I'll start off introducing my boys and family to you.  My sons now make it a ritual to come out on the first Saturday to hang out and spend time with us.  They haven't always done this but for the past few shows they've been coming out and I so look forward to spending time with them, eatting, and shopping with my Courtney Girl, my mother and brother came out again this year and I was just so happy to have them all there:

My brother, mom, Courtney, Brandon & Mark

Here's Carol and her daughter:

You have to go over to Carol's blog and read her Magnolia Pearl story ~ talk about fate!

Here's Nancy and her husband:

Nancy's blog is Ella Elaine and she's in the antique biz in McKinney Texas.  She found a cart full of things in Warrenton, be sure and go over and see where all she was at at the shows.

These girls were too much fun:

There Rebecca, Jo, Gina, and Carol.

Now look at these two pretty girls, mother and daughter:

Her top was made from a vintage tablecloth, isn't it so pretty.  I had written down their names but in the packing somehow misplaced it.

The three amiga's:

Robelyn Red*Neck Chic, Deb of Talking Trash, and Jodie of Everything Vintage

Next is Ms. Bella:

Now if this picture isn't priceless, I don't know what is!

Now I know I'm jumping ahead of myself by showing this pic of CD during prom, but you know I had to include him in the post:

Talk Sweet Talk

On to my next Warrenton Antique Show feature is Janet of Talk Sweet Talk.  Janet's booth is always filled with such creative displays and lots and lots of flash cards.  Some of which she creates from her business and others that are old and found in her travels.  I love visiting her booth because you know you can always find tons of ironstone, butter pats, and things you didn't realize you needed until you see it.

Here's Janet after the blog party with her new Robelyn Design purse:

Now, here's her booth, she set's up inside the Cole's Antique Show building:

See what I mean about the ironstone.

What a cleaver design idea:

More lovely things.

This display I really loved, see her sweet words:

I hope if you don't know Janet you'll look her up at Cole's Antique Show in the Fall.  You can also find her at the Antique Queens shop in Rockdale Texas.  Happy Sunday to you all!

Christie at Sommerfield Place

My friend Christie sets up at the Sommerfield Place show and she's just one of the sweetest girls you could ever meet.  There's nothing fake about her, if she's your friend, she's a friend you can cherish and... she always has some of the funnest things around.  You never know what you'll find with her, but there's always a treasure or two for sure.

Sommerfield Place is located right next to Zapp Hall, in case you were wondering.  It's also the field where you can find really awesome Mexican Food at Manuel's and y'all know how particular I am about my Mexican Food!!

Christie's tent is really long and she's expanded (or set up it up differently this time) and next time she has even more plans to make it different.  Hope you enjoy her things:

Here's Christie, she always has a smile and looks so pretty.

I loved this doll, hidden amongst the linens.

Here's a wide shot of her booth:

More lovely things:

Look at this unique doll:
Christie created a nest in the top of her head.

Look at all the pretty white things:

Of course by the time I remembered I hadn't taken pics of her space, she had already sold so many things.  That's what happens when I go see her, I get busy visiting with her and forget the important things.  I hope in the Fall if you don't know Christie you will look her up at Sommerfield Place.  You can't miss her tent.

Christie if you are reading this (and I know you will) please email me at garden_antqs@yahoo.com.  I also meant to thank her for donating the first place ribbon for the Blog Party.

Happy Saturday and hope you find lots if you are out junkin this weekend!!

Final Destination ~ Marburger Farms

I have done so many posts on Marburger and could continue probably through the end of this month, but I still have so much more to share with you so I'll make this one my final destination for this show.  I want to start out showing you TOT's booth.

You know I'm never disappointed with her displays:

This big bed occupied a good portion of her booth and was it super fabulous, I believe it sold.  I really really like the light that Craig created above it.

Here's another great display and awesome light:

Look at this glass/metal cabinet and table, super fabulous:

This table and stool was another favorite of mine:

Don't you just love how it all looks:

TOT finds the bases and CP creates the tables:

More great things:

Say bye to TOT and let's head over to see Donna's booth.  You may remember her from Zapp Hall, she used to set up in the big tent:

Don't you love this display, especially the sign:

What a great architectual header she had:

Okay, moving right along.  Let's stop by and see Mo of Rubbish.  This is Janet's sister (that's I'll be doing a post on too).  These two girls are super sweet, my goodness, how could they not be with a great mom, yes even their brother is sweet too.

Now don't you love her creativity, look at these pattern flowers with buttons:

Love it all:

She always finds the best things:

Mo will be doing a show in Tyler May 6-8, HEAP, with several other ladies and I can't wait to tell you about it, so keep watching.

And, last but not least on the final tour, is Linda's booth:

I love these chickens, they are so cute.

What a cleaver and pretty display:

Loved all the domes and globes and the background too:

Linda and Ludmil will be at the upcoming Antique Show in Hico Texas on May 7-8.

I hope you enjoyed the tour, still want to see more, click here

Gresham Barn Sale

Barn Sales really seem to be turning up in Texas.  I had read about them in other states, but now they seem to be catching on in Texas as well.  I think this idea of promoting antiques and having occassional sales is going to catch on like wild fire here.  This past week I was in Deer Park at the Queen Bee Barn Sale and starting today is the Gresham Barn Sale in Flint Texas.  Then, in October my friends Micki and Brandy will have another Barn Sale in October for their Accumulations Vintage Home and Garden Fair, that we will also be participating at.

So, let me tell you a little bit about the Gresham Barn Sale.  It's located in Flint Texas and they are going to have a preview night today, April 14 from 5:00 - 8:00.  This weekend I heard about their sale and how great it is, even though I've been seeing it advertised on Margo's blog.  It does look like it's going to be a good one, just from telling by the pictures.  I so wish I could come and join them.  If you go please let me know and I'm sure Margo will post pics of the sale.  Check it out here:

Check out their website for a preview of what they'll have to offer.  Their address is: 10101 FM 2813, Flint TX 75762 or you can contact them here.  Hope you girls have a great sale!

White Wednesday at Marburger & Magnolia Pearl

Since it's Kathleen's White Wednesday and I haven't participated in what seems forever, I want to take you back to the Marburger Farms Antique Show to check Robin's displays.  You know if you go to Marburger you absolutely have to check out Robin Brown of Magnolia Pearl's clothes.  Her clothes are a work of art.  I just love the look and feel and how she creates such beauty.

It's absolutely an investment when you buy her clothes, but so well worth it.  They are timeless and will last from season to season and I don't think they will go out of style.

While I was there taking pictures, Carol was shooting pictures of their booth for an upcoming issue in Where Women Create.  It was fun watching them get ready for the shoot:

Don't you just love her designs:

Every detail of her booth is just so pleasing to the eye:

This is one of her newest dresses for her Spring Collection:

Another view of her booth:

Jo and Gina even used Magnolia Pearl clothes in their booth set up:

Just gorgeous, love it all Robin!!  Be sure and check out Kathleen's other participants in White Wednesday.  Happy Wednesday to you all!

More Marburger Farms

We are back to see more of Marburger Farm displays.  Sit down, enjoy your coffee (or whatever your favorite beverage is) and let's stroll through the tents to see more beautiful displays.  We'll start with Judy Hill's booth:

You could dream in white in this bed and booth for that matter.

Rust and White, does it get any better:

She always has such pretty plants to make her space come alive:

Her booth from a distance:

Okay, love this cabinet, so many possibilities:

What will your order be?

Industrial or white?

Don't you know I love everything in this display from the gears to the doors:

Only Judy could take something unusual like the car doors and turn them into works of art!

Moving right along to Peg's booth.

Loved the fan with the pics.

Look how cute the brushes look in this metal architectural piece:

Don't you just love this cabinet:

This lamp was super over the top awesome:

This chair was just great and the cushion was a perfect combination to go with it:

Peg just always has such pretty displays:

There she is always making a lot of noise:

Just kidding Peg!  But don't you love it.

Okay, for our final stop, let's pay a visit to Shelley:

Here's the cabinet she found and redid:

Her straw bed was super cleaver:

Doesn't it look all dreamy white and pretty:

I loved these old wooden architectural pieces:

They would have looked cool anywhere in your house.

There's Shell, getting ready to work:

Hope you enjoyed the tour, there's still more to come.  Check back tomorrow.

The Marburger Experience

The Marburger Antique Show is like none other.  I really don't know how to explain this.  Maybe it's the anticipation that you can't shop with the vendors until that Tuesday morning or if it's because you know some of the best designers will be there putting together some really over the top displays or if it's because so many of my friends are there and I just know I'm never disappointed with what they bring and how it's displayed.  Whatever the reason is and I'm sure you could add so many of your reasons to this list, it's still just an experience like none other.

I always take so many pictures of so many displays that I'm not sure where to start or even how many posts it will take to show you all.  I will go ahead and show you Gwen's displays because after all I did promise her I'd start out with hers.  Let me first tell you about Gwen.  She is just one the funniest and craziest girls to hang out with.  She has such a great personality and she always has a smile.

Now look at this statue.  Is this awesome or what.  Gwen always finds a lot of French antiques since she gets to travel to Paris on buying trips, lucky girl.  I believe her and her sister put these displays together.

Loved this display of rosaries:

These blue apothocary jars were just gorgeous:

Look at these vintage flowers:

I wanted this whole display, just loved it:

Want to see more of Gwen's booth, click here.  Gwen also does the Miss Frenchy Antique Show in Kansas.

On to the next booth. Let's stop off at Laurie's for a second.  Laurie was new to the show, well as far as selling, it was her first time.

I think she did a great job.

I loved the cow picture and the typewriter, loved it all together.

Her pillows are just gorgeous.  So pretty Laurie.  If you want to see more of Laurie's space, click here.

Next, let's head on over to see Jo and Gina's booth.  I loved that Gina was shopping until the last minute.

Of course if I could I would have bought everything in this display.  By far my favorite in their booth.

Don't you love these mannequins:

More great mannequins and loved this pie safe:

Here's the finished product with Magnolia Pearl's clothes:

Do you want to see more of their booth, click here.  Tomorrow, we'll head back to Marburger for more awesome displays.

What was at the Barn Sale

There was a lot of things at the Barn Sale!  I was so glad that Hollie and Liz stopped in while I was at Zapp Hall to let me know, but I must say this settee had to be my favorite thing there:

It was only $695, if I remember correctly, and it was Frenchy awesome.

You could find cool chairs, cabinets and brown transferware here:

There were religious statues and dressers:

This display was just right inside the barn as you walked in:

It reminds me of a cute cupola top I saw at Laurie Anna's awhile back.

More great things and grain sacks made into pretty pillows:

Look at this cute lamp with hand tied ribbon for the shade:

There were things all on the outside as well:

I am sorry about my pictures being blurry.  I just don't know what has happened to my camera, I can't seem to get the settings back from the shows.  I think these girls have several barn sales a year, so you might contact them to get on their mailing lists.  Their contact info. was in the previous post I did on them.  Hope you all are having a great Sunday!

Thank you so much for following:
