Friday Eye Candy
We had fun yesterday shopping in Canton at the Flea Market and actually ran into several friends there. Really enjoyed visiting with them and catching up with them.
I am just loving what Maggie and Lillie are doing at their new space:
Look at this awesome French blue cabinet. I was tempted, but left it behind. I bet it doesn't last long.
Look at this cute mannequin.
Enjoy the rest of their new place:
The Girls Gone Junkin booth was pretty busy too, sorry got side tracked with all their things and didn't take pics.
We did find a few things in Canton, but since it was so hot, we didn't stay long.
We also headed out to see Jo at the Quinlan Flea Market. She had these great pieces that already had sold on them. They were pretty fabulous, especially the large cubby cabinet. I wish I had taken pics of them. You would have been envious if you'd have seen them.
Finally, we stopped off at Winnie and Tulula's. They are hurridly getting the Bistro ready to open. I'll share photo's soon of this.
We are headed to McKinney Texas this weekend to set up our space in The Antique Company Mall. Can't wait to show you what I've planned for it.

White Wednesday with Jeanne d'Arc
I know that many of you have discovered the Jeanne d'Arc Living magazine. I really look forward to each new issue. This past issue was just so beautiful, as each is, and it has the best ideas. Of course you'll see so many white items in the magazine and since it's another one of Kathleen's White Wednesday's what a perfect match.
My header photo is from one of the pictures and I just loved that the silver is missing from the mirror, so I wanted to focus mainly on this, but here's the big picture of it:
What a pretty and simple bathroom:
This was a pretty garden vignette:
Another white room:
This last picture was from one of the adds in the back, but I really loved all the things displayed here:
If you are interesting in purchasing the Jeanne d'Arc Living magazine, just email me (garden_antqs@yahoo.com) and I'll be glad to share my source with you. Also, be sure and check out Kathleen's blog for other White Wednesday participants.
And don't forgot tomorrow is the Canton Texas Flea Market, yes again this month, but there will not be another flea market until September. Hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Sunday at the Park
This past weekend, we spent Saturday gathering our things to move into the Antique Company Mall in McKinney Texas so by Sunday I was ready to spend time doing something else. My brother called and invited me to go to the park with him and my Mother and I didn't hesitate going. We love to go to this park. It's always seems so peaceful to just walk around, feed the ducks, and of course I always have to gather a fresh bouquet of flowers. However, due to the heat we didn't stay long.
Look at these cute ducks we came across.
These cute ducks were just eagerly waiting for you to feed them:

We're Moving To McKinney
Well at least my business is. Do you remember the post I recently did on Shopping in McKinney and hinted that there was some news that I would be sharing with you about The Antique Company Mall? Well, it's official. I've been offered a prime location spot in this awesome Shop and it's on the first floor.
When we were there on Friday we talked to Diane, the owner of the mall, and she had showed me around the shop and after considering several booth locations I've decided to take a great booth that she offered me. I couldn't be more excited. Thanks to Nancy as well for recommending me to this shop, I am really excited about this new adventure.
We offically move into The Antique Company Mall on August 1st. I can't wait to tell you more about the direction of where I want my business to go and to show you my new home (in the mall at least).
Here's the location of my booth, but it won't look anything like this when I get through with it:
I hope you'll come and visit me once I move in. This mall has so much to offer that you'll be here a while shopping.

An Uncommon White Wednesday
I always look forward to Kathleen's White Wednesday posts and deciding what I'll feature is so exciting and sometimes can be a bit challenging. For today's post I'll take you to Uncommon Objects in Austin. There's always so many white things in this shop that the ideas never run out. I first want to thank Steve for always allowing me to take pictures. I know that they are really particular about this and I so understand.
The first thing that caught my eye was naturally his booth. Steve has the most unique eye for finding the best things, but then when he displays them it's always just great. Now, I hope the first booth that I'm going to show you is his but if it's not his booth, please tell me:

I absolutely loved all the white painted violins. What a statement!
Here's more of the store:

Each of his vendors has their own unique eye for displaying and finding great things.
I always love Janette's booth:

I really liked this garden table and chairs:

Steve's booth in the back of the store:

Heavy metal:

Don't you love them?
Birds of a flock stick together:

Well here I guess they have no choice, unless you buy them and take them home of course.
I liked this entire display:
Another great group of things:
While we were in Austin, we also went to the City Wide Garage Sale. I always seem drawn to Linda Parker's booth. She has such a great eye for finding such unique things and she has a booth in Uncommon Objects as well. I hope you enjoy seeing her displays:
We did manage to find several things on this buying trip, which I'll try and post a picture of soon. We also really enjoyed eating at Guero's on Saturday. No matter what time of day you want to eat here it's always packed. Be sure and check out Kathleen's blog for other White Wednesday participants. Happy Wednesday to you all.

Shopping in McKinney
If you haven't been to McKinney Texas in a while it's well worth you checking it out again or if you've never been, you have to plan a trip really soon. There is so much going on in McKinney and when we were there this past Friday it was super busy. There were people everywhere. In case you didn't know, McKinney was recently voted by Money Magazine as the top #5 place to live in America out of 100. And it's no wonder they were given this nomination. When we drove through the beautiful neighborhoods we were just in awe at all the beautiful vintage homes that were just on the main street.
Our main reason for going to McKinney was to visit Patina Green's Home and Market. I can tell you I was super impressed with just how beautiful the shop was furnished and the food was just over the top good. I can't wait to go back and eat there again. I had one of the freshest salads and tomato tart that was on this really great bread that filled me up for the entire day. I also had a really good refreshing drink. On the label it said fresh fruit juice mixed with sparkling water and lime. And I also had to try the homemade salsa and chips they had. I'm so super particular about my salsa. Well, I tried it and I can tell you it was really good on homemade corn tortilla chips. Just like the ones my husband makes. I can't brag enough about how good the food was, but that's what they are all about, fresh ingredients bought from the farmer's that morning and then prepared fresh that day. They don't have a set menu so their choices are constanting changing depending on what they can get in fresh. I love this idea! You really have to try it for yourself. There aren't many tables to sit at but we joined a couple and had a great conversation. Nancy of Ella Elaine met me there and I had a great time visiting with her. Let's take a look inside Patina Green:

From there Nancy and I left and she showed me around the Antique Company Mall. I also saw her friend Eileen and several others in the shop. They seem just like they are one happy family there. I was so busy visiting and seeing all the great things that I didn't even take pictures, but you can check out Nancy's blog for some great ones. I'll have more news to share with you about this shop really soon. It was so great getting to visit with her. Let's do this again real soon Nancy.
My last stop of the day was at Smitten. I didn't have much time to shop there but will definately come back here really soon too. Here are a few shots that I took:
Stay tuned for my next post on Wednesday and what shop I'll feature for this. Hope you all have had a great day.

Whirlwind Anniversary Trip
My husband and I celebrated 30 years of marriage by going on a junkin trip and spending time with our boys. This was the best Anniversary gift we could have received was to spend time with them and since this is what we both wanted we had a great time (of course the diamond bracelet my husband gave me just added to the great trip).
We spent Friday in Dallas and McKinney and the weekend in Austin. We were headed to Fredricksburg but got side tracked with our kids and just decided it was too hot to head that way. It was 102 in Dallas and Austin, both days. And could you feel every bit of the heat and humidy.
The first place we stopped off at on our Friday trip to Dallas was Gina's beautiful shop, Country Garden Antiques:
I first saw this display on her blog and couldn't wait to see it in person. The large flat cages she said were originally in a green house. She had a great arbor and candleabra. Loved the manniquin too.
She also made the latest issue of Victoria Magazine where they showed pictures of her booth at Zapp Hall in Warrenton during this past show. She always has such great things.
She had so many pretty things for sale. I hope if you are headed to Dallas you'll check out both shops. Their shop info. is on their blogs.
I'll show you were we stopped in McKinney tomorrow. And then stay tuned for what we saw in Austin.

Photo Shoot Last Friday
With all that has been going on this past week, I've been meaning to tell you that I got to go and help Heather Bullard with a photo shoot this past Friday. I was so excited to be there with her, and Margo was there as well. You can read all about the Texas Shoot adventures and Margo's mishaps with an ugly red wasp here.
There's Ms. Ellie, she was so sweet.
I can hardly wait for you to see who the photo shoot is about. I'm so excited for this person, but since mums the word you'll just have to wait until it can be announced!
On another note, we are celebrating 30 years of marriage this Sunday (July 18). That doesn't even look right, but it's the truth. Can't wait to share with you what we've planned for our big day.
Happy Friday to you all.

White Wednesday in Burton
As promised from my last post, I wanted to show you Linda's shop. And since it's also another one of Kathleen's White Wednesday, I thought combining the two would work well for today.
When you walk into her shop, the first thing that you see are these beautiful French beds that have such beautiful details. As you look all around, you see her handmade items and the some of the most beautiful cabinets and marble tables and aprons that she's made from old night shirts. You definately want to spend time looking at all the pretties there. Hope you enjoy viewing her shop:
Here's More:
Again, Picasa Web has not been kind to me. I've exceeded my limit and I'm having to use a different program to load my pics. You can't view them by clicking on them, sorry about that. I'll have to go out and delete more pictures or posts to load more pictures. So Sue I understand your frustration.
Be sure to visit Kathleen's blog for all the other's that are participating with her posts. Happy Wednesday.
