I was going to post this picture next week, but I just couldn't wait to show all of you Carol Hicks Bolton fans that I got to meet her:
I was so excited to finally meet her and get to visit with her. She has so inspired me through the years with her style. She was just a sweet as could be as was the rest of her family. Now I'm so inspired to visit Fredericksburg so that I can see her store, The Homestead, since I haven't been there in so many years. Thanks Carol for making my day!
I have lots of photos to show you some of the best displays and merchandise that was at the Red Barn Antique Show, so please check back next week. Hope you all are having a great weekend, T

ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I SO love surprises... can't wait for your reveal of what is going to make me green! *WINK* Actually I'm already quite green just beholding your banner. Now, is the reveal going to be on this Blog or one of your other ones? I'll be staying tuned... I'm being coy and revealing my scores from my weekend shopping tryst last too... seems the natural progression to show all the photos of the fabulousness of the Shops first and THEN my Score, right? *evil laugh* Dawn... The Bohemian

ReplyDeleteI sooo wanted to come down for the Big Red Barn show but, I just couldn't get the "Stuff" on the list done to go. Grrrrrr I have NEVER been to this show. LOVE Carol Bolton. I remember when she & her hubby were personaly running 5 stores in Fredericksburg. Before the kiddo. Now, they are super famous & I think they only have the one store plus home/shop in North Carolina. Is that right? HUGS!

What fun! Can hardly wait to see more of your adventures.
ReplyDeleteTheresa, Beautiful booth! I so hope the show was good for all of you. What a treat to meet Carol - she is a sweetheart, isn't she? So you really do need to come to Fredericksburg - we have some other great shops too, and some good antique shows....hint, hint. I have passed along a blog award to you - see my post and then play along if you like, or not - whatever you wish to do! Happy day!
ReplyDeleteOMG T that is FANTASTIC, getting to meet Carol!!! She has inspired me for SO long... and she has been the inspiration for so many other Artists and Designers that she is iconic! Where has she been? I have not seen any articles in such a long time profiling her terrific designs and what she's been up to so I had really needed a 'Bolton Fix'!!! *wink* The only time I see any products is through EJ Victor and that isn't quite the same as her OOAK pieces and vignettes. I sure hope she is interviewed and profiled soon by some of the magazines for Home Decorating so that we get more of her!!!??????? I'm so happy for you... you must have been practically levitating with excitement! *smiles*
