If the day were mine to do whatever I wanted and I were free to choose where I wanted to go or what to do with my time for just this one day, with no appointments, no plans, no obligations, what do you think I'd do? I'd take a trip to places that I hadn't discovered, try a new dish, relax, try something new, stop and enjoy the moment not having to rush off anywhere.
I'd start off at a beautiful beach:

And eat fresh fruit with lime juice and chili rojo:

I'd walk slowly throughout the this city and study the architecture of the buildings:
I wouldn't be in a hurry to get anywhere, I'd stroll throughout the town, making new discoveries around the bend. I'd enjoy myself and relax and just enjoy being. But then again, staying in my jammies all day watching old movies would be just as good. How about this one:
Or, if you have a free day and want to see a new movie, this one was good. It was one both my hubby and I enjoyed watching this past weekend:
Of course the fact that Vin Diesel and Paul Walker were both in it, didn't hurt either.
Then, there always a couple of places you could go antiquing this weekend.
Like the Hico Antique Show:
Or the Urban Market show in Houston.
Or you could just follow me (like Kristi said) and see where I'll wind up. You just never know...
I'm joining Rebecca of Faded Charm today for her White Wednesday posts. I've so missed participating with her but with no show pics to show you yet (yes the computer is still being repaired), I thought we could at least day dream together today. I feel a vacation coming on. How about you! What would your dream day be like?
If I had a dream day I would be Dream of Jeanie and gather all of my friends together and make their dream days come true.
ReplyDeleteSo there you have it girl. Aren't ya glad you know me? Hugs

What a nice thought! Travel is exciting, but how nice it can be to just be home doing what you feel like doing. I hope you get it one way or the other!
ReplyDeleteI feel so totally relaxed afer reading the above, and looking at those soothing pictures. What great thoughts. I'm not sure where I would go..um....gotta think on that. Debi

T. if I could just hold on to your shirt tails for a road trip I would be so happy. I would be so quite and good. You would not even know I was there. Where are you taking us this week? Lets have some more fun. sandi
ReplyDeleteTeresa, I'd follow you around.
ReplyDeleteThe Old Red Lumberyard sale is this weekend too! Oh, and my perfect day would start with you telling me your EXCITING NEWS! Ha!
ReplyDeleteMy dream day would begin and end at the beach, under my umbrella, sitting in my chair, reading a good book and sipping my Diet Coke. I can hear the waves lapping the shore now. Mmmmmm. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what your news is! Looks interesting!

If I've never told you this before, that is my favorite version of P&P. I'm just waiting for Matthew Macfadyn to come sweep me off my feet...or vicy versy!

I'm thinkin' it would be nice to just sit on my chaise lounge on the backporch with a great book & plenty of ice tea (maybe some guacamole for lunch). That sounds like a good day to me. Isn't it crazy that it's so hard to accomplish when it sounds so easy.
ReplyDeleteThe beach and that wonderful fruit treat is what I'd take! great images T. Hope you're having a wonderful week! xoxo Debra
