What's in Llano Tx you ask? Well, lots of great treasures and two really awesome stores, Binky LaFaye's and Whimsey's. If you've never been this direction and to these stores, it's worth the drive. Llano is only about an hour from Austin and you will get lost in this great town. No, not because it's so big and there's a lot of people here, but because these two stores that are side by side will have you shopping for hours and before you know it you'll look up and they are turning the lights out on you. I'm sure they wouldn't do that especially if you are still shopping.
The first time I drove up to Binky LaFaye's I knew this was my kind of store. I had heard about it from several friends and had seen pictures of the store from Binky's blog, but to see it in person was just amazing. You'll find treasures here that you haven't seen in a while. Just take a look at my booth:
Here's more of Binky's shop:
And next door is Whimsey's:
Okay, now don't you want to plan a trip to Llano really soon. You can it's not that far, really. Hope you enjoyed seeing the shops. I'm linking up with Kathleen today for her White Wednesday's posts.
Thanks for showing us these neat places! Would love to visit.
ReplyDeleteI want to go so bad one day! I live too close to miss it. These photos are fabulous. Trying to get a trip planned to Marburger this fall...

ReplyDeleteSee you at City Wide!
Thanks for the Llano post. I worked at Camp Longhorn on Inks Lake, summer of '65. Did you know that the historic pronunciation is "Yawno".
ReplyDeleteIt just seems all the good shops are in Texas... which is probably a good thing right now in my world...
ReplyDeleteBut once things are in order, I think a visit to the great state is in order.
Blessings to you today

ReplyDeleteTheresa,
ReplyDeleteOh girl, if you only knew how badly I want to make this little road trip. I have loved the style of Binky's since I found them in a ME mag years ago, & then again in one of ME's books. Your style is such a perfect compliment to theirs. I adore your booths. I have got to visit next time I go to Austin. Lisa
Can't wait to visit Llano and see all the wonderful antiques you have found. What wonderful things you've found on your travels.
