Yesterday, we adventured out to Canton Texas for their monthly flea market. One of our first stops was with Lillie and Maggie. They are set up in a new building on the grounds of the flea market, which they call "The Veranda". How appropriate as their new space is right off another building called The Porch. Their antiques seem to display better in the open area. Here are their great displays which really showed their July the 4th spirit to America the Beautiful (to enlarge any of the photo's, just click on them):
My next stop was with Linda Smith of The Blue Gate who creates beautiful Garden Houses. Look for her on the grounds before the Blue Building-Civic Center:
After searching the grounds and finding very little things, there just weren't very many vendors this time, I headed over to the Arbors. My next stop was with Judy Hill. I just don't know how she does it all. She just came back from setting up at the Round Top Antiques Show and before that Old Glory in Colorado. Here is her booth, beautiful as ever:
After that, I stopped at Cindy of The Bee's Knees. Doesn't she have pretty things:
Then on to see Laurie Sigler of Laurie Anna's, but she had a crowd around her and I didn't have a chance to visit with her. I did however want to show you how pretty her space looked:
My last stop was with Sue. Here are cute pictures:
After leaving Canton, we were headed home and came across a new shop in Athens Texas. The picture I took doesn't do justice to just how cute this shop is. Sweet Peas is located on 219 N. Palestine on Hwy 19. She has beautiful things, vintage beds, cabinets, one of a kind treasures and beautiful linen clothes. The back part of the shop is filled to the brim with treasures, farm tables, more cabinets, candles, and beautiful wreaths. I loved the linen curtains in one of the first rooms and the light coming in made me want to linger in the "white room" as they called it. I understand she also sets up at one of the Antique Shows in Round Top/Warrenton. The owner, Gloria, really creates beautiful spaces. You must check out her shop:
I hope you enjoyed the road trip. Check back later for my Canton finds.

I love seeing the photos, thank you, but can you make them bigger, I want to get a good look!
ReplyDeleteHi Carole: to enlarge the photo all you have to do is click on it and that should enlarge it for you. I purposely made them small so as not to take up too much page room. If that doesn't work for you, let me I know and I'll make them bigger. Thanks for stopping by.

I love the America The Beautiful things.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love it that I recently learned how to put pics in a graph look. Or a mosaic as it was called, in Flikr. It does save band width or whatever it's called. :-)
