Today marks my one year blogging Anniversary. I've learned so much in just one year, so many friends I've made that I couldn't possibly have met otherwise. As I thought about what I would write about today, so much comes to mind. As I looked around, I seem to see signs that marked my Anniversary. I received a beautiful plant from a co-worker, totally unexpected. Then, when I opened my mail box today, there was the glorious re-introductory magazine, Victoria. I couldn't have asked for a better gift and I've already started to devour every page. Felt just like my favorite magazine was never out of print. I'm kept all my old issues and love looking at them over and over for ideas. When I saw this picture in Victoria, I couldn't stop staring at the beauty of it.
While I was walking down my drive I noticed a beautiful white rose on my rose bush was finally starting to bud; it hadn't bloomed all year and now that the season is about to end it finally decides to bloom.
While I was watching one of my favorite cooking shows today, Barefoot Contessa, she was featuring an Anniversary show!!
What comes to mind when you think of an Anniversary; a moment in time that marks an event. A special day to celebrate something special, a wedding, a new friendship, a job, starting a new adventure... I can't believe a year has passed.
I just want to thank you all, that have stopped to say hello, that have left such wonderful comments, an encouraging word when I needed it, visited with me at my shows, or just emailed to let me know you found my blog. So, to mark my Anniversary and to say Thank You, I've having my first give away. The picture below shows what you will receive. A glass house with a rooster on top, a nest, and vintage Christmas ball with vintage white buttons.
although i just recently found your site, i have truly enjoyed it! it is very interesting and fun; yet, you provide such great information. and the pictures are priceless. thanks for all the time and effort you put into your blog. i appreciate it so much. michele jones

Congratulations on one year, I have had a nice time visiting your site.
ReplyDeleteTheresa,
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy your blog, and try to catch up as often as possible! A gal came in the shop the other day who also has a cute blog and she said she was thinking of giving it up because it was so time consuming. I told her "Please don't do that!". First you never know who it is going to touch or brighten their day, and second, basically it is your life's journal, and that is so important.
Anyway, I wanted to thank you for all the hard work you do so others can enjoy your blog, and I congratulate you on your anniversary.
Thought I would share a couple of pictures from a small sale we did
this weekend for a fundraiser for the Gladney Adoption Center. It was our first off-property show....what a lot of work! We think we do a lot of work for the French Country Flea Market, but wow, to put it up and take it down within 24 hours is a killer! It really made me appreciate all of you who do shows regularly.
Hope someday you can come by our shop! Thanks again
Thanks again,
Valarie Jolly
