Christmas Party @ Leftover's

Have you ever to that place or store that the minute you walk into it you know you've encountered something special. That's exactly what I think every time I've entered the Leftover's Store. This is a shop where every turn has something so grand that you sometimes just have to just stand there and stare! I'm so intrigued not only by Ed and Michael's design talent but also by the great things they seem to find. Today there was their Christmas Open House and it was just amazing.

One my favorite things they had were these Angels that just seem to command attention and are almost as if they are standing watch over the store. When I was a child I couldn't wait to see all the Christmas decorating that was done at the big Department Stores (in my day it was Joskey's and Foley's). When I enter this store, the anticipation of all the decorating and work that has been done is just so spectacular. If you are near Brenham Texas in the next few weeks stop by Leftovers on Hwy. 290 and you'll see exactly what I mean. Be sure to click on any photo to enlarge. Enjoy the tour!!

  4. Yet again, more pictures for me to print out and refer to. That shop is fabulous! They have some wonderful things, but it all goes back to display, doesn't it? I saw a tray I might not have bought for resale (I think I actually own one like it) because I wouldn't think anyone would want it, but the way they used it made it special. Thank you again for showing us pictures of the shops. I'm ready for a visit to Texas.

  7. Theresa,
I agree, you need to be a guide to the best antique stores in the US. This store is awesome and just the look I love. January will be marking a new look for the Plum Tree and hopefully it goes over well. Does this store have a website? I would love to purchase some of their pieces.
Thank you for your compassion for antiques!

  10. Stunning! Like a candy store! The problem is how do you pick something when it's all so fab and you love everything?? Thanks Theresa for the tour! What am I thankful for this year at this time? I am thankful that you, Theresa, take the time to show us all the beauty and talent these shop owners and dealers possess. As a shop owner myself I can tell you that someone like you is a true blessing!

    Happy Thanksgiving!
