Austin City Limits

I've often been referred to by my friends as the "Roving Reporter", which I don't mind being called this. I never know where our next adventure will be at or what direction we'll head towards. With Mother's Day approaching, we knew our oldest son wouldn't be able to come home so we went to him on Saturday. They asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day and well that can be a dangerous question because it always involves antiques. So, we went to eat at a new restaurant and then went to Uncommon Objects, since we were just down the street. I'm always blown away with this shop, there's just so much to see, and nothing rarely stays the same. Of course, you know from previous posts that I can spend hours here. I have to look at everything in great detail and then go back a second time because you know you won't see everything the first time around.

Here's your tour of UNCOMMON OBJECTS:

Loved all the trophy's in this booth.

This next set of photo's have some of the best displays and items:

Steve Wiman's cabinet looks a lot like the one I have, guess we bought it from the same dealer in Warrenton:

These next two booths just caught my eye for all the great things they had:

One of their outside display windows:

Here we are outside Uncommon Objects. You can tell how excited my husband was:

From there we headed towards Round Rock to check out Micki and Brandi's booth in ANTIQUE GALLERY. Unfortunately, we were really late arriving and had less than 20 minutes to shop.

This space belongs to Susan, what great things she had as well:

If I would have told you what this store had on it's sign you probably wouldn't have believed me so here's the proof. You can buy your groceries, gifts, antiques and eat at their restaurant all in one. Wow, this is better than Wal-Mart. I've blocked the number to protect the innocent.

Only in a small town would you find this.

Here's my handsome boys and DIL and grand-dog. Hope everyone had a great Sunday!!

  5. Looks like you had a great Mother's Day! Aren't grown up kids sooo much fun?!? I got junk for Mother's Day from my family also...2 columns from my husband and a set of rusty lockers from my 3 kids! I had pointed these things out among some others that were cool during a recent trip to the antique mall and my hero talked to the kids and went back and got them. Flowers are nice but you gotta love that junk!!!
    Have a great day!
    Blessings and Hugs!
