Holiday Show in the Country

Today we drove out to what I consider the country, Brenham, Round Top, Warrenton Texas area to go to the Holiday Show at the Texas Rose Show. Vickie had some really great dealers that were set up with her and the weather was just perfect.

Also, we didn't realize she has a food vendor that makes awesome Mexican Food. If you know me, you know I'm very particular about my Mexican Food because growing up I had the best authentic Mexican Food around. So, someone would really have to have good food for me to compliment them. This food vendor actually has homemade tortilla's, which has almost become a dying art.

So, if you are near Warrenton between now and December 22, you have to come out to the show. They are located right across from the Marburger Farms Antique Show on Hwy 237. Look who we saw at the show, Kim and her daughter. Don't they look pretty!!

These next few displays belonged to Vickie. She's really good and has great things:

This is Susi and Hector's space. They are now located here each Spring and Fall as well as the Tin Star field in Warrenton. They can also be found at the Austin City Wide Sale and occassionally in Canton:

Here is Linda and Ludmil's booth. Pretty and unique as always:

This was Doris' space. She can also be found in Canton each month:

And, last but not least was Becky's booth. Becky is located inside one of the outbuildings and she too is going to be permanently located here in the Spring and Fall:

I did find a few treasures here. Fabulous job to all the dealers.

  21. When I grow up, I'm moving to Texas...y'all have the best year-round antiquin'...I'm so jealous!!!

I was taught the art of making real tortillas by one of the migrant workers that worked on my husband's farm, we had a blast that day, as her kids cracked up at my attempts at making perfectly round tortillas, they said they looked like every state in the U.S....not funny!!! But I did master the art with my broom handle dough-roller, that every bride gets for a wedding present...back in the day I'm sure. But oh what a taste, nuttin' like it!!!

The graduation ceremonies are in 2 weeks and I am just trying to get hotel rooms and other things reserved!I will try to go by Uncommon Objects tomorrow before we take off.I've passed that place many times and never stopped! My daughter is getting her hair cut tomorrow right next to that place. Thanks Again.
