I have so many pictures to show you of the different places we stopped at during our trip to Temple this past weekend. But first I really really wanted to thank those that have sent me such sweet emails wondering why I'm not blogging and if I'm okay. Your words of encouragement and emails mean more than you'll ever know to me. And to those that have stopped by, just to say hello, I say back to you THANK YOU!! I have this wonderful group of blogging buddies that are just the best!!
This post I wanted to start out showing you our space at Carol's Open House-Holiday Reflections. Thank you Carol for inviting me to participate in your Open House, which was a success for a great cause. She'll have a whole post dedicated to her beautiful home tomorrow.
I must admit, before we even made it to Temple, we stopped by Antique Queens in Rockdale (I had to see Janet's space of Rubbish) and Gatherings in Georgetown. If you haven't ever been to these shops you need to make a road trip. As a special request from my friend, she asked that I take lots of pictures of Gatherings since she couldn't make it there. I'll do a separate post on this shop this week. We also couldn't miss stopping by Marta's Room in Belton; I'll also do a post on her shop later this week. Thanks so much to all who came out to the Open House and to those that bought things from us.
Finally, I wanted to introduce Sue of Vintage Sue to you. Doesn't she look so pretty. Even though the temperatures didn't rise above 28 degrees that day she had this beautiful short sleeved outfit on, that you can't see underneath her jacket and you should have seen the awesome cowboy boots that she wore. She is just one of the sweetest girls you'd want to visit with and I could have spent hours talking with her. I also found the coolest things with her. Check out her blog for more pictures of the Open House.
Glad your trip was fun and SAFE! Look forward to hearing about the shops and all your great pics!

ReplyDeleteThat mannequin with moss on her head and a vintage glass top as a hat is great. Love the dress form with the rosaries too... and Sue's coat, that's a winner.
You know I'll be back for more, can't wait to see the rest of your tour. I always love, love, love your photos. Thanks for taking us all along!

ReplyDeleteThat coat is mine! I'm sure it is...and if it isn't, it should be! As well as the boots underneath and I haven't even seen them. If they are half as good as that coat, I'm in love with them!
