I'm sure there are many home decorating watcher's out there, but the worst part of watching a decorating show is remembering the inspiration you saw. The other day when we attended Ann's Open House I took so many pictures and was able to see them over and over. I mentioned how inspired I was to want to redo my home. Well, I wanted to show ya'll how I took the things Ann had that inspired me and put my own twist on things. I've totally redone my porch. I will post a series of repurposed spaces throughout my home in the upcoming weeks. I love it when I go somewhere and I am so inspired to redo my home. Here are the finished pictures, you do the comparison:
Here's my porch and Ann's porch below it:

I know a slight difference, but the inspiration is there. Happy President's Day!!

I love your porch, would love to be sitting there this morning with a hot cup of coffee visiting the day away with you. Your pillows are awesome...love them.. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your changes. hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteI love your twist on the porch redo. It looks like a wonderful place to sit and watch the sun set or come up! You are right about not being able to remember about what was seen and how to recreate from memory. I can't hold onto a thought for longer than a nano second. So good to have photos to go back to. Debbie

Love the redo! Isn't it wonderful to have that "inspired" feeling? I love your kitty making herself right at home on the beautiful porch! hmmm...I really like the idea of hanging the stained glass window on the porch. I have an old one sitting in one of my windows...I will be moving it to my porch! Now you have inspired me!
