The Big Reveal

Well, I couldn't wait any longer to tell you what my BIG REVEAL is, so here goes.  A while back (actually not too many weeks ago) I received an email from my friend Erline that she was moving into a new shop in Lufkin Texas, Heritage Antiques.  Well, having been in a shop there in the past I had to get the details from her.  Then I contacted Laura Koch, the shop owner, and asked if Junkin Buddy and I could come and see the place.  Of course before we left we had signed up to be in her great shop and we actually got the last two spaces she had available (thanks again Erline).

This is a new antiques shop that is opening and it will have a Tea Room possibly in the near future.  See some of you were right on target guessing about the Tea Room.    At this point, I don't have any pictures to show you of the inside with all the new dealers not moving in until next week, but I can tell you there will be some awesome people setting up at this place. Let me just tell you a few that I know personally (Ann Perry of The Tin Rabbit in Melrose Tx-I've featured her a few times from having attended sales at her shop, check my last post on her here.  And of course Erline Ingle, she has a space in Forgotten Treasures in Lufkin and if you've been in this shop before I know you've seen it.  Laura Koch was also in Forgotten Treasures and her booth was the one that had all the books and smalls as you walked into this shop toward your left--I've found some great things with her through the years and I'm sure I'll find more now.  Of course Junkin Buddy-Marion Rogers; I could do a whole post on her, she's actually the one that always inspired me when I moved into my first antique shop. Then, finally there's Karen Armstrong. Now Karen has an eye like none other.  She's taking a glass case and will have some of the best OLD stuff you've ever seen.

We will be moving in next week and I promise to show you the other dealer spaces. This shop does have an upstairs to it, which will eventually be opened with more dealer space available, but it needs some work that still needs to be done there so it will not be opening until sometime later.   I am also going to be managing their blog and you can check it out here.

With getting my things ready for Warrenton, moving things around in Winnie and Tulula's (no I'm not moving out of WandT's) and now moving into a new place, I can tell you my plate is beyond full!!  But I know it's going to be just great.  So now not only can you check us out at Winnie and Tulula's in Athens Tx, but we will now have our things at Heritage Antiques in Lufkin.  So which either direction you go we'll hopefully have something you are looking for.
The soft opening of the shop is scheduled for September 14th (more details to follow with the time) and the Grand Opening is scheduled for October 13th (change of date).  So please make plans to attend one of the openings.  The shop hours are Monday through Saturday, from 10:00 - 5:00 and the location is 110 W. Burke St., Lufkin, or you can call the shop at 936/632-0110.  Hope to see you there on September 14!

Please check out Heritage Antiques Blog for news and happenings in the shop.  Thanks to all who played along guessing my BIG REVEAL and the winner of the drawing is:

Lisa of La Rustique Market!! Congrats Lisa.
