He Fought The Good Fight of Faith

Doug never gave up his fight with cancer, but he passed this afternoon.  He wouldn't even miss the blog party this past Spring:

Many of you may have known Doug from having shopped with him in the Bar W field.  He and Renee set up in the field together for many years.  You'll so be missed in Warrenton, it won't be the same without you.  We'll see you on the other side my friend!

  3. yes T, I remember the picture of him on the bike, it was one of yours, I think it must have been 2008. I borrowed that picture of him and renee from you and just cropped it. He was so funny. We will be missed. lauri

  7. Oh NO! My thoughts and prayers are with Renee and he for sure will be missed! What a great guy!

He lost his keys in my shop several years ago before we officially met him or Renee. I mailed the keys back to him and years after that when Renee and I finally met in Round Top she said wait...I know you, Doug lost his keys in your shop one time.

    What a small small world!

If you see Renee please tell her I send my love!

  8. I never had the pleasure of meeting Doug, but knew of him through Renee. My prayers are with his family and friends, may their hearts find comfort in knowing he's no longer in pain and that they will one day be together again.
