August Events

Can you believe we are already on the 3rd day of August and I can tell that this month is going to fly by, just like the year has.  If you are in Texas this month, and you are looking for something to do, there's still plenty of places to go shopping or attend one of these events:

  •     August 6-8:  Larry's Old Time Trade Days, Winnie Tx
  •     August 11: Sweet Pea Bistro Opening, Athens Tx
  •     August 13-15: Third Monday Trade Days, McKinney Tx

  •    August 14:  Second Saturdays, in Historic Downtown McKinney Tx ~ Every second Saturday of the month 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m, the Community and beyond will enjoy an evening of art, music, food and spirits every second Saturday in Downtown McKinney. Guests can explore local art galleries, listen to great local and regional talent and taste some of the areas best eateries. Many places in Downtown McKinney will keep their doors open from 7-10 p.m. For more information please call McKinney Main Street at 972-547-2660
  •    August 14-15: Boerne Market Days, Boerne Tx
  •     August 28: One Day Sale at Judy Hill's, Kilgore Tx.~ See the info. on my side bar
And if you are looking for air conditioning, don't forget you can always go shopping here.  Just as a side note.  These places mentioned are ones that I've either visited or others have told me about and I'm sure there are other places to visit this month.  If you'd like for me to include them, just drop me an email. Maybe I'll see you on the junkin' road.

  6. It had been looking like Minnesota was the place to be for junking fun. Thanks for setting us straight. Although as hot as it has been up here in the northern states I can close my eyes and imagine I am in Texas.
