Ann's Magical Place

Walking into Ann's Perry's home is like walking into a wonderland.  It's magical at every turn.  She takes something that would be ordinary and turns it into a work of art that your eye could just stare at for hours.  She makes you feel so welcome that you don't ever want to leave.  She just has such a warmth about her that she radiates in her home as well.

Her beautifully decorated fireplace always catches my eye first:

Then, there's the table in front of the fireplace that's so welcoming:

You want to ask her if you can stay for dinner, because you know she's a great cook.

As your eye looks to the left of this same side of the room, you see this beautiful large archetectual piece:

Then, there's the corner cabinet filled with awesome ironstone:

I'm sure she's collected this for a while.

If you turn and face the opposite side of her room, there's this view you'll see:

Again welcoming you to come on in and stay a while:

Your eye is immediately drawn to this cabinet (well at least mine was):

Look at all the pretties she has displayed in it.  No shopping bags allowed here.  These were her collections.

Throughout her home, you'll see little vignettes she's created with really old things, shoes, dolls, frames, it doesn't matter it has Ann's touch:

And if you stare at the tree for a while you are almost transported into another time:

More beautiful things here:

She had lots of pretty ferns on stands:

They were even treated special, just as she treats all her guests that come through.

In her kitchen, these loveliess can be found:

Again, stare for a while, I did:

I loved this vignette in her kitchen:

Now, see this pretty pillow:

These are Ann's signature pocket pillows.  She does an awesome job of creating these and YES she gifted me with it. Can you believe it.  I know I couldn't.  It brought tears to my eyes that she would give me such a lovely gift.  Look closer.

Yes, these cute little handmade shoes were also included.

And this piece of sheet music was too.  She said she had been holding this back for someone special:

Here's another view:

See, this gift, I couldn't believe Ann also gave me this.  I had been wanting a white violin ever since I saw one at Uncommon Objects in Linda Parker's space.  I am speechless with Ann's generosity.  Thank you my sweet friend for everything!!

I didn't realize how many pictures I took of her place so stay tuned tomorrow for Part II.   Even though it's late, I'm linking up with Debra for her Vintage Friday post.  Happy Weekend to you all and I promise to show you what I bought with her in a later post.
