Destination McKinney

Last weekend, Junkin Buddy and I spent the day in McKinney and then took the scenic route home.  We had the best time, laughing and acting up as we normally do when we are together.  Nothings better than spending time with friends and eating at one of the best places in McKinney.  The Food was over the top as it always is and each time I visit Patina Green Home and Market I'm always so inspired to come home and try new recipes.  More on that in a bit.  Today since it's Vintage Inspiration Friday, I'm also linking this post with Debra's blog, so be sure and check out her's as well.

First I refluffed my booth at The Antique Company Mall:

Here's one of my new line of lamp shades with lights that I'm carrying:

The other's sold at the Red Barn show and I hope to have more in stock soon.  They are one of a kind ones so it's not something that is mass produced.  I decided a long time ago that I really want to sell old and unique items, which are getting harder to find.  It's sometimes hard for me to decide what to take to the shop since I'm also doing shows in between.  If you've seen something at the shows or shop and you think you are interested in it, please email me to inquire.

Once we finished, we headed down the street and made some detours along the way.  Our first stop was at Unique Unique Design, a few doors down from the mall.  They had had a big event the night before and were hurridly trying to redo.  I think the place looked just great. What do you think?

From there we headed down to see Vickie of Homepieces, but she had sold so many things that her shop was turned all kinds of ways, but you know that's a good think in this biz, to see SOLD signs.  I did not take pictures of her shop, so I'll have to go back next month and do a whole post just on her shop.

We also stopped in at Chase Hall.  They have the most intriquing things.

I loved this display, especially the cow pic.

This mirror was so unique and pretty:

From there we headed to Patina Green and it was a feast for the eyes.  As I said we really enjoyed our time here.  Very relaxing and the fact that the food was outstanding wasn't bad either.  Here are a few pics I took of the shop:

We did get a chance to see Jo in Quinlan and her shop really has had a turnaround in the last few weeks, again SOLD, SOLD, SOLD is what we saw.  I somehow managed to get a truck load with her.  Our last stop of the day was in Athens.  My battery was really low so sorry no pics, but I tell you that Gloria and her crew of vendors are sure working hard on that shop.  There were so many pretty things there and I could tell there was good cooking also going on as it smelled so good when we walked in.  They'll be having a trunk show pretty soon, details to follow.

Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend too.

Also, be sure and check out Nancy's new blog, My Romantic Prairie Home, as she takes you through her new journey of redoing a historic home in McKinney.  So happy for them, I know the place is going to be awesome once they are through redoing it.

  8. LOVE all of your displays! What I really love is the brick wall with the old advertising on it!! My store is located in Old Towne Orange, which was established in the mid 1800's. Across the street from me a vintage clothes store moved in and while taking down the old wall, they found these awesome painted advertising on the wall! It's nice to see things that have been "saved" after all these years.

    Take care, Sue
