It's Time To Head To The Country

The Red Barn Antique Show is this weekend January 17-18 in the beautiful country setting of Round Top Texas. We will be there setting up on Friday, can't wait to see those I haven't seen in what seems forever. We have Santa's helpers coming on Friday to help us unload and display (you'll have to keep watching to see who it is), then Junkin Buddy will be with me on Saturday.

Also, the Leftover's Antique Shop is having a customer appreciation sale on Saturday. You don't want to miss this one.

You can come out and spend the day at the Red Barn and then that evening head back towards Brenham on Hwy. 290 and stop by Leftover's. I can't imagine a more fun day than spending it in Round Top. Shopping in the country, making great friends or seeing old friends (not that they are old!) and eating just tastes better in the country. Speaking of eating, while you're there head down to Royer's Round Top Cafe and have one of their awesome burgers and pie and then stop by Festival Hill on your way out.

See you'll have to book a night in Linda & Ludmil's new B&B in Burton Texas just to be able to see it all and then you can walk behind their B&B and stop in at their new Willow's Nest Farm Antique Store!! Be sure and tell them I sent you. Okay, now that I've planned your weekend, no extra charge, you don't have any excuses for not having fun this weekend.

Here are just a few of the great Antique Dealers you'll see at this show:

I will see you on Sunday! I can't believe it has been a year since I last saw you (especially since I didn't get a chance to run up to Warrenton in 2008!)

  3. It is so totally unfair that y'all will all be playing together this weekend and the only person I'll have to play with is Cat Daddy. Make of that what you will!!! Y'all have a great time and bring home empty trailers. Tn'T

  13. OK...I'm in the same boat(or sled) as Chrissy from Cananda...snow,snow,snow and below zero today. Now, there are opportunities for gathering the good stuff but don't expect to be inspired or motivated by the scenery. I'm talking about old freezing barns and sheds and down and dirty consignment shops dispersed throughout the great state of Iowa(Sharon at Sweet Repose knows from what I speak). So thanks for keeping us inspired and "toasty" just w/ the thoughts of you having a great time in good old warm Texas! Have fun and thanks for stopping by my blog(where do you find the time to be so sweet)! Brenda
p.s. Sharon...maybe we need to venture out and start some wonderful event in Iowa in the winter?!

  15. Hey there girl! I know, I am going to miss it this time and I am sad about that :(
It's soooo cold here, a little Texas warmth of friends and weather would be just the inspiration I needed!
I'll miss you. Say hey to my neighbors for me!
