(Smitten Display Window)
Yesterday, we headed out early in search of where ever the open road led us. My mother had been wanting to go on a day trip for awhile and she had also been wanting to stop at Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana Tx. So this was our first stop of the day. We loaded up with lots of baked goodies and headed on down the road to see Ms. Mindy at Primitiques 'N Poetry in Poetry Texas.
Unfortunately, it rained almost all day yesterday so we weren't sure if the rain would cancel her sale. But, no her and Mayron didn't let a little rain scare them off. They've decided to have their sale again next weekend, so if you are near Terrell you should stop in and see them. Mindy has totally redone her booth and it looked fabulous. We also got to see Liz and Fran. Here are pics of Mindy's booth:
From Terrell we headed straight to McKinney Tx to check out Smitten and Homepieces Antique Shops. Our first stop here was at Smitten, where we saw Karen (owner of Smitten) and LuAnn. This shop is absolutley beautifully decorated. I just loved seeing all their great displays. Take a look for yourself:
This had to be one of my favorite displays. Loved all the white, ironstone, clock, bottles and especially the glass case.
All the above photo's were of LuAnn and Kaci of Patina Green's booth. I just loved everything here.
More displays at Smitten above.
From there we headed to Heirlooms, right down from Smitten. One of the dealers here really caught my eye. I love all the black and white and silver and unique items she put together.
We then left and turned the corner and headed to The Antique Company. This booth was a delight on the eyes. I love awnings and of course these caught my eye:
This awning and beautiful chandeliars were located in a shop next door, don't remember the name of the shop:
Our last stop was with Vicki of Homepieces. She's getting ready to move next door to a bigger space. We'll have to check back when she moves in. She too had a lot of pretty things to see.
Hope you enjoyed tagging along with us. I'll post more pictures on my slide show later this evening, that you check out here.
