Texas Roads & Finds

This past weekend took us to several towns and to many finds.  Since we were so late in getting home tonight,  I will show you part of what we found tomorrow.  The reason I say "part of" what we found is because before I could even think of unloading the truck with my finds, a good friend had already bought part of my load.  Thanks Amy, hope you enjoy your new things!

I will tell you that I found ironstone, an absolutely gorgeous bed that the owner said was well over 50 years old with barbola roses on it, a concrete angel statue and bust (that have sold and no picture to show just how cool they were), silver pieces, vintage Christmas, a great arm chair, radio cabinet, wicker table, red Captains chair, and several other things that right now I'm drawing a blank at.

While driving through the old towns I had to stop and take pics of the gorgeous homes that were there.  This one has always been one my favorite homes in this town:

 Here's the front of it.

 This is the side view.

Look at this old Laundry, loved the look and signs of it.

We then headed down the road to see Amy at the Junior League Show.  I'd never been to a Junior League Show and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the vendors there.  Of course their decorations were very inspiring as you  walked into the Convention Center.

Ballerinas slippers is what caught my eye.

This is Amy of Bloom and Bee Swanky's booth.

Loved the piano music with roses in the small white jars, so cleaver and pretty.

Here was Pat Laverty's booth.

Wouldn't that "NORTH WEST" sign be so cute in a Christmas display or on your porch!

Really liked the idea of using Christmas tree branches into a swag.  I might have to borrow this idea.

What another cute tree Pat had in her booth.  Her shop, Lavery's Antiques Furshings, is located at 600 N 18th St, Waco, TX 76707 or you can reach her at (254) 754-3238.

Here's a sneak peek of the bed:

Tomorrow I'll show you my finds and be sure and check back Wednesday to see Amy's shop.  Here's a sneak peek of her shop, you won't want to miss seeing it, it was awsome:

Don't forget there is a lot going on in Texas this month, be sure and check out my side bar or click here for events.  I was bummed I didn't get to make it Troy and Rod's sale, but I'll get to see them this week and I didn't get to go to the Urban Market either.  I hope they all had a great show and sale.  I did however really enjoy getting to spend time with my both my sons.  It was a great weekend!  Hope yours was too.
